Thanks to decreasing hardware costs, solar power has become one of the largest new energy sources added to the grid in recent years and is expected to lead the next generation of energy. This webinar will provide an overview of the process solar contractors use – from sales to installation – and the data required to successfully complete each project. We’ll also explore the ways this workflow has (and hasn’t) changed over the years, and what technology new and aspiring solar workers will need to know in order to help the industry keep pace with a growing demand for renewable energy.

About the Presenter
Daniel Castano is the Lead Technical Trainer for Scanifly, where he oversees the educational content for Scanifly Academy and leads a variety of online and in-person trainings for solar professionals. Prior to joining Scanifly, Daniel held roles in several solar companies spanning evaluation, design, and operations. He is a NABCEP PV Associate and an FAA Part 107 drone pilot. In his free time, he enjoys flying drones and exploring the great outdoors.
Scanifly is the driving force behind the growing movement to incorporate drones and other technology into residential and commercial solar project workflows. As the only drone-based 3D modeling software created exclusively for solar project development, we leverage drones, cloud computing, photogrammetry, and 3D modeling to reduce time on site by up to 90% while providing the highest degree of precision and quality throughout a solar project’s life.
